Supper recipes to satiate the whole family

There are often days where you aren’t in the mood for a full meal but still want something filling. Well, we feel exactly the same way and have created a list of family-friendly healthy snack recipes that you are sure to love.

Vegetable Submarine Sandwich
Take a long loaf of bread and cut it down the middle. Apply mayonnaise on both sides add cheese on top and then toast the bread with the cheese. Cut up bell peppers, tomatoes, cucumber slices and lettuce to place inside your subway sandwich. Here you can also add boiled egg or chicken if you wish. Place your cut up vegetables and place the bread on top. Serve with fries for the full effect.

Schezwan Paneer Canapes

This recipe is something tried by Nithya over at Nithya’s kitchen. It makes good use of theDIP Foods baked canapes. This recipe uses the canape base provided by DIP Foods and adds paneer and Schezwan sauce to it. Begin by cutting the paneer into cubes then placing the cubes in a blender and blending them till they crumble. Next, pour oil in a pan and place chopped ginger and garlic in it. Once the garlic turns brown add chopped capsicum and onion. Once the vegetables have become tender you can add soya or schezwan sauce and green chili sauce. Throw in the paneer and season with salt to taste. Finally, add some tomato sauce to the mixture. Allow your dish to cool, then serve on the canapes base. Be sure to make extra as these tend to disappear as soon as they are served!

Vegetable Fried Rice

This one’s a classic. You can add your own touch to this recipe by adding eggs, chicken or your favourite sauce. Before you begin you need to boil 200gms of rice, chop 15gms of carrots, bell peppers, mushrooms and slice 10gms of spring onions. Heat the wok with oil on the highest flame. Sauté all of the vegetables for 2 to 3 minutes or until they turn soft. Add boiled rice and soya or Schezwan sauce on top as seasoning. Toss the rice thoroughly to mix the rice, vegetables and seasoning. Add pepper powder and salt to taste. Garnish your dish with spring onions and serve while hot.
